Understanding your present state is critical to charting the path to your intended destination. Indeed, even the most sophisticated GPS remains idle if it cannot ascertain where you presently stand. Reflect upon the Hebrews poised on the threshold of the Promised Land. Physically and mentally, they were primed to claim the bounty of the land. Yet, spiritually, they found themselves unprepared for such restoration. Their faith required fortification.
Curiously, the term "Hebrew," believed to have originated broadly to define people culturally or ethnically, comes from "ʿIvri," meaning "to cross over." This descriptor was historically applied to those who traversed rivers or borders, including ancestors of the Israelites like Abraham. Nevertheless, they stood unready to “cross over” into their Promised Land.
Application to Your Situation
